I am looking for the best (FREE) MySQL driven forums (Like this one.. But free ;) )..
I was looking at Ikonboard(But I do not think it is MySQL driven) or maybe OpenBB.
Anyone have any suggestions on a good board?
OR Feedback on these boards?
:D

I'm biased, but go with phpBB :D The 2.0 version will really rock.

Check out the 2.0 version of phpBB. With templates, you can make it look however you want.
You are correct that VBul is more feature rich. OTOH, $0 vs $165 does sway a lot of people :D

Thanks for all of the feedback.
We are still currently designing our site,
so hopefully by the time we get done Ikonboard
will have released their 3.0 Gold, and I am sure I will
go with Ikonboard at that time...
I see alot of people saying phpBB, It looks to be a ok
board, but I am not happy with the security issues of
that board...:( . I need something a little more secure.
Thanks,

I'd recommend Ikonboard. The MySQL version may be included with Beta 5 due out next late this week.
Hello
Some hosts have told me that they only accept phpBB because of its minimal load on the server.
It's free with a very good support forum.
One of programming team members is present here.
I am operating two phpBBs and two snitz froums (on windows). Next version of phpBB ver 2.0 will be a great software.

Well - Within a few days there will be another PHP/MySQL bulletin board out..I'm developing it :)
The process time is the best out there so far - better then vBulletin, PHPBB, XMB...
Moderator Note: If you have any issues with this message, feel free to delete it - I don't think it's out of line though since no url, name etc. were provided.

Please let us know when it's ready.;)
Hello Again
I forgot to introduce Mark. However many of you may know him.
As he is a member of phpBB programming team, he can introduce its new futures that will hit many of good systems.
Frank, don't you think we need a comparison table of bulletin board systems?
We can work on a future comparison table. This will help to have a better picture of current systems.
I think phpBB will be one of good ones.

Mac
