I'm still gathering information, and I notice that many of the "new" hosts off dedicated servers along with their shared accounts. I'm wondering if they actually _buy_ the dedicated server they're going to be selling before they find someone for it, ALONG with the main server to run the shared accounts off of .. if so this will be expensive, and what if no one buys it?

Or do they offer dedicated servers then when someone purchases one, they order it from someone like say rackshack? I'm confused.

To buy a bunch of servers like some advertise would cost much .. unless they are a reseller for a company and just resell their services (do you have to pay to be a reseller of dedicated servers or what)

Alot are resellers or people do own the boxes but there just sitting in the datacentre when the owner phones up they will plug it in kind of thing.

But like any bussiness you start you need a big pocket to back you up with all the fees you pay out at the beging :)
