I can't believe that it's been over a month since I've been looking for a new web host and I've already tried two and I had to leave them both! The latest is Digital Zones, which doesn't show the nbsp;'s in my HTML when I read it from the file manager (they execute when displaying the page and they show up when I VIEW SOURCE, but not during editing, unless it takes a LONG time to be processed).
What is an acceptable amount of time to have to wait for changes in HTML to show up?

for me if the page doesn't update immediately after uploading and clicking "refresh" i won't be happy. Of course I'm paying, not sure if the host you're describing is free or not.
personally i've switched ISPs because the one started using a set of caching servers (poorly i might add) that wouldn't refresh the content even if doing a ctrl-refresh unless you waited 15 minutes.

I once hosted a web site on Digital Zones for roughly a year. I've always been extremely happy with them, and as far as I know, they had 100 percent uptime during that year (I had my site monitored).
The only reason I moved is because I now have my own dedicated server at Rackshack. Also, when I moved, I had trouble with a DNS server, and they offered to continue hosting the DNS for one of my domains EVEN THOUGH I was moving away from them.
Great company IMHO. Don't know about support though, as I never needed it.

I use alot of  's of various sizes as vertical spacers and I hate when they show up as regular spaces in the code, but I decided to stay with Digital Zones because it's too hard to find a host that meets all my requirements. So, I guess the appropriate icon is now
