Agree - but still they need some forums where directory owners could make offers for hosts.

Maybe I'm just not paying attention, but isn't the total number of directory owners at WHT somewhere around 2 or 3? Tops 6? If so, then I can't see creating a forum specifically for you guys. If I'm wrong on the number, please correct me, but I can only think of a few off the top of my head, and I'm figuring that there might be a few more that I just can't recall at the moment.

No more forums please. Soon the forum listing page itself will take an hour to scroll through.

Thats a fair point but the current advertising forums description reads

"This forum is intended for web hosting companies to publish special offers and new web hosting plans. This forum is not intended for the promotion of websites and other services."

So where should the 6 directories post their advertising offers, or for that matter the several hundred hosting support provides and hardware vendors that might also be out there?

I see that point. At this time, there isn't a place for you guys (the types of things you mentioned). You basically want an 'other' catagory. Hmmm... well. To be honest, I didn't agree with the webdesign offers/requests ad forum. I don't think we can offer everything.

I'm not entirely sure about an 'other' catagory, but I'll tell ya' what... I'll start a discussion about it and let you know ASAP. Hold tight...

I like the idea of an "other" or "general" forum as well, particularly because of that clause about advertising hosting services only. I can understand removing everything but hosting, but not without making another place for the others.

Of course, I'm a little biassed on the matter ;)

Thanks I appreciate you looking into it :)
