Hi,

Recently I have helped my client to change nameserver to my nameserver as he is changing host to me.

Then I helped him to set up his account using whm. After a while his webpage loaded fine from my server. However, this morning when I checked, I realised that it shows:

Bad Gateway

The following error occured:

A DNS lookup error occured. THe host was not found.

May I know what is the most likely error? The one thing I can remember is that I may have submitted to change the nameserver twice. Is this the likely cause?

Thank you very much. Please help me.

Regards,
TM

Run www.dnsreport.com on the domain.
Bad gateway is normally because of a proxy server!

Submiting twice shouldn't make a difference

Hi SpiritAu

I have run dnsreport.com and found that there are two failures.

1. Missing nameservers 2
2. Reverse DNS entries for MX records

The domain name in question is ********.net . Can you please guide me along?

Also the other thing which is very funny is, why is it when I dial up using another ISP, then I can see the web page loading perfectly fine?

All my other clients' webpage with the same nameservers are okay.

Regards,
TM

Resolves fine from Australia:

Welcome to your own web site

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for choosing focushub.com as your web hosting company. If you can see this web page, it means that your account has been successfully set up. To get you started, following are some instructions on how to change your password, and upload your webpages to the server.

I notice on the domain: Updated Date: 29-jul-2003 it could be a DNS update problem with your ISP.
That would explain why that domain dosn't work. Give it another day or two.

Hi SpiritAu,

Thank you very much for your help. Guess the problem really lies in my ISP. It sucks.. hahaha...
