Hello,

I'd like to introduce SSL4Less.com

Our genuine, 128 Bit SSL Equifax certificates are only $79 per year. here is what "everyone else" charges:

Equifax: Direct from Equifax - $99
Thawte: $125
Verisign: $349

SSL4Less is in the business of providing 128 Bit genuine Equifax SSL certificates that have a 98% browser compatibility. Here is a list of web browsers compatible with this certificate:

AOL Browser 3.0
AOL Browser 4.0
AOL Browser 5.0
AOL Browser 6.0 -thnx Chintz
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
Netscape Communicator 4.x
Netscape Navigator 3.x (needs root rollover)
Netscape Navigator 4.x
Opera 5

In addition to a server certificate, with every purchase you will receive True Site™ by GeoTrust®, an icon you can place on your website that links directly to the GeoTrust website. When clicked, the user is able to verify that you are exactly who you say you are. This goes a long way toward forming a trusting relationship between you and your customer, and ensures them that you are not some kid in a basement somewhere that has setup a website just to get their credit card number.

If you are a Web Host or Web Master with several domains, you may wish to purchase all of your server's certs through SSL4Less and save even more money with our Bulk Purchase plan!
If you are buying certificates for customers on your webserver, you may wish to resell them to your end user at a higher cost. Our program is structured very simply:

10 or more certs= 10% discount
50 or more certs= 20%
100 or more certs= Contact Us

If you are in the market for SSL Certificates, look no further!
SSL4Less is the most economical choice you can make.

Nick Leavens

A company may have the same item you sell for less than you.. That does not negate the fact that you are selling it, and you may have some other VAR-eason for charging what you choose to charge.

Wal-Mart sells canned drinks for 25-45 cent, but people still buy them for 50c to a Dollar at drink machines...

yes i know that but..

they are selling geotrusts truesite for $79

geosite sell truesite for $59

That would be like buying the can of coke from the the guy sitting next to the machine, for $1!

thebyp2,

( We sell SSL Certificates for $79 - and throw in the True Site Service)

As far as I know, Geotrust does not sell you an SSL certificate when you sign up for their TrueSite service.

When you sign up for our SSL Certs, the TrueSite service is included in the $79 per year fee. This further enhances your ability to provide a safe and secure environment for your customers.

Any further comments, please let me know.

Regards,
Nick Leavens

Yea but what if that guy selling the coke next to the pop machine is providing additional value added services such as opening the can/bottle for you, and saying thank you!

:)

this is what i was trying to find out by asking if it was the same service.

Unfortunately, you ARE wrong. GeoTrust sells True Site for $59 with NO SSL. If you'll look at their signup form, you'll see that the CSR is OPTIONAL.

Thanks sbrad for helping to set things straight.
cbaker17, thanks as well - you got the point - we are selling 128 bit SSL Certs and adding GeoTrust's True Site in our Package.

So that's and extra $59 value that SSL4Less is giving to our customers.

Thanks all

Nick

You don't mention AOL 6.0 compatibility in your post. Perhaps this was an oversite, but if you don't offer it this alone would move you well out of the 98th percentile for browser compatibility.

It also throws up warnings for Netscape 4.77 as "unrecognized by Netscape as an authority".

Chintz,

Thanks for bringing it to my attention - I did overlook putting AOL 6.0 in there

AOL 6.0 IS compatible.

As far as the netscape 4.77 - we just recently got our site up - and our Equifax Cert is on the way - so that's why it doesn't work yet.

Thanks,

Nick

That's a fair reply. I'll keep an eye on you when I start installing certs on my sites.

Hi

128-bit cert aka as EFS SSL cert >>

I have been asked by GeoTrust not to use EquifaxSecure's (EFS) name but to use 128-bit SSL cert or something else as the agreement between GeoTrust and Equifax does not allow any co-branding situations.

I asked about and been told that the USD59 signup thingy at their site does provide the 128-bit cert if the CSR is included during sign up. (at this promotional period). (The 128-bit cert is the EFS cert)

On another note: This is about the FreeSSL cert >>

There is a link to my secure mode on my site (using FreeSSL SSL web cert)..... it doesn't work as my newest cert is not installed yet

For netscape users: to make FreeSSL compatible, click on the link for Netscape users.... it will install the CA Cert to make netscape compatible and recognise all future FreeSSL certs.

i am very confussed now!

i was told by geotrust that you did get a cert when i emailed them.

I'm a bit unsure of what zbco is saying above. Do you get a freessl cert with the 59 thing or a equifax cert?

can i also just say that i was not trying to say anything bad about the 79 certs. i just wondered how they differed.
(this goes to the person who sent me that nice pm)

I think the confusion comes from GeoTrust's website...and how they don't explain everything. I spoke with nleavens, and he is contacting GeoTrust to find out, and if that IS the case, then he's going to post it here.

waiting with interest .........

(though $79 is the cheapest i've ever seen a cert if geotrust don't give away certs)

i signed up for a the geotrust thing about 24 hours. But have recieved nothing back. Should i have had a response by now?

i would call them on their support number but that would cost me a fortune from the UK.

A: does anybody know the turnaround time on the geotrust service

B: Has anybody got an email address from them that they know works?

Thanks,
Benjamin:eek:

I just got my 128bit cert from geotrust today, it took about 48hrs from signup. Installed it, and it works perfect.

Why pay for something if it you can get it for free?

The deal with geotrust is that it is a ~70% compatible ssl cert that you recieve.

And if you all would be a little more considerate when posting - this was an advertisement for my company, and you all changed it into a faq post about geotrust and where to find other SSL Certificates.

SSL4Less's Offer is ALWAYS VALID - we offer this deal all the time. It's not a promotional offer - and we give you an EQUIFAX 128 Bit SSL Certificate for just $79!

"Why pay for something if it you can get it for free?"

LOL - I think you put this in the wrong forums - This is a webhosting forum - You will notice that probably 95% of the companies that post in here charge a fee for hosting.. and yet, you can get your html hosted on geocities for free.. and by many other "free" hosts.

So please, Respect my business - and don't trash my advertising post.

nleavens,

i have not said anything against your business. i simply asked a question to other web users. That is what i thought discussion boards were all about.

i think your service is good and will be buying a cert from you soon.

Off Topic

Yes. Forums are for discussing.
But it is organized discussion. Just respect an advertiser's post.
I don't feel entirely comfortable putting this post in here; but I feel it must be said.
If you wish to start a discussion of obtaining SSL Certs; don't you think it should be in a different forum?
If you reply to this post, I will not reply back.
If you start a thread in another forum regarding this topic, I may very well join you. But last I looked this was the "Web Hosting Offers" forum.
