Hi,

For those of you who took advantage of the two or more domains deal at $8/yr at Stargate, I believe it is only $8 for the first year of registration and $10 per year then afterwards. I was misled by their webpage and thought it meant $8 per domain, per year and every year onward.

I could almost swear that in my control panel it said $8 for renewal, but that was a long time ago, and I went away for vacation since. My domain panel now says renewal is $10 per year. My memory just doesn't serve me properly anymore.. But I talked with support and they confirmed that only the first year is $8 for a domain, and $10 onward.

Just letting you guys know. If anyone else using stargate and used their domainXpress feature, could you check to see what the renewal fee is? If you have $8 showing, I might have to contact support again..

Thanks..

Hi,

this say My CP:

Cost for renewal is $10.00 USD per year.

Ahhhaaa... I also think it was a little Time ago $8.00 USD per year !

I think Stargate should state this on his Website better with a "*" and then ... * only first Year, Renewal is USD 10.00 per Year ! So everybody will know that this "good Deal" is only for the first Year / at Registration (there you can chose between 1-10 Years) !

OK, good that I only Register Domains for a 1 Year Term, I think next Year will a other Registrar have a good Deal.

Well, I'm not too upset about it. I'm just a little annoyed by how they stated their "incredible deal", which I now feel that I was completely misled by. And also because my english isn't too good either which makes it even more frustrating when I misunderstand things.

This is what they say: Register 2 or more domains for only $8.00 per domain, per year.

It's also goes the same if you transfer domains there as well, only $8 USD for the first year, then $10 every year after.

Anyway, I'm not too upset since they're already cheap and I only have 2 domains with them. At $10/yr, they're just a little over a buck more expensive than the cheapest registrar, and I'm making full use of their DNS control panel for setting up A records. So as long as things are going good, I'll probably stay another year or more.

I've just made my first registration with stargateinc and it seem like the $8/year offer is valid up to ten years as long as it's register for the first time. There's a pull down menu to choose between $8 for a year, to $80 for a decade.

In my opinion, even $10/year is the best price and still one of the cheapest (at most only 1 or 2 buck more), if you consider those features in their control panel.

I just registered 2 domains at Stargate, and yes, the $8/year offer is only valid at the time of your sign-up.

Renewing your domain at $10/year isn't that bad
