If it ever was, it is gone now. Guess they couldn't survive on those $1.66 accounts, even in Turkey. Xof 12-29-2001, 01:09 PM I stopped looking for cheap hosters, because they are no good. Now I have a hoster for €6 a month :) hayes 12-29-2001, 04:38 PM ya looks like there gone... site is down. GSM 12-29-2001, 04:53 PM They are bad I host it from them they ban you domain name without telling you or warn you before they do that:) stay away from them! Zalbag 12-29-2001, 05:14 PM lol.....thats UCVHost! lol haha UCVHost is also something you should stay away from. dbnet 12-29-2001, 05:43 PM Again if you ever see the words Unlimited Transfer or Unlimited Web space , leave the site and find another fast, or you will start loosing money, locking up, and goind down just reading there site :D How many times we need to answer this question :p Someone needs to make a sticky on Unlimited Space/Transfer Aegrotat 01-23-2002, 08:42 PM Originally posted by hayes ya looks like there gone... site is down. I decided to try an experiment with this outfit. I figured their cheap rates were largely due to the fact that they are based in Turkey, although they are using servers in the UK. So I registered a domain and set up a Unix account with them. They charge for a year in advance (that figures when you are only charging $1.66/month, right?). The setup was quick and easy. They give you an IP address for FTP immediately, but you have to wait for the domain to propagate for HTTP. I uploaded some files and as soon as the DNSs for the domain propagated, I was able to access the site. They have a nice control panel that allows you to do a lot of things, including setting permissions, modifying files, etc. The negatives: Tech support is strictly by email, and there appears to be only one person doing it. Communication is a bit iffy, ie, English is obviously not a priority. The real downside to this outfit is down time, which so far seems to be about 25% or more. Currently the site has been down for two days, and it may never go back up again :-) There is no alternative email address, so when the servers are down, there is no way to contact anyone to find out what the problem is. It's true, you get what you pay for! I certainly wouldn't depend on them to host a site you really care about. As I said in the beginning, it was an experiment. :rolleyes Alan - Vox 01-23-2002, 08:59 PM This guy signed up for a $30 reseller account and tried to host 250 domains on it. I politely told him he needed a dedicated server and pointed him to burst.net Incognito 01-23-2002, 09:05 PM I'm sure burst appreciated the favor. (Laughing uncontrollably). Did they really do something so bad to you as to deserve this guy? j/k Alan - Vox 01-23-2002, 09:08 PM They offer servers from $100/month. Thats why i pointed him to there. Im pretty sure he would of used much more bandwidth than the 12gb he bought from me. Relyc 01-23-2002, 10:27 PM Originally posted by Ericd That's nothing, kiwi, look at their server description! Sign up for a reseller account, sell 250 hosting accounts for $20 a year, take the $5000, and cancel the reseller account. Net profit: $4970 (assuming you can sell all 250 accounts in one month). ka0s 08 09-07-2002, 08:45 AM technolojik bad...very bad....they hosted my site, that other thing was a typo, they run on 800mghz and that really sucks, they have the slowest servers in the world, and they are in turkey, they dont have a money back garentee, AND they are down about 40% of the time, that's 60% uptime! Who would want that!? Believe me, stay away from technolojik Knogle 09-07-2002, 09:27 AM From their AUP: UNLIMITED USE POLICY High bandwidth usage: Technolojik offers an unlimited use policy by maintaining very large ratios of bandwidth per customer.
