The majority of you may not know who I am because I rarely post here at WHT and right now you're witnessing one of those rare occurrences so treasure it. :stickout: :D

Anyway, I'm proud to present a program that has been in development for the last 5 days or so from the concept proposed by Two_A_T (also a member here at WHT).

[vB] Writer - this program was developed for those individuals who write a lot of advertisement about their special offers here at WHT. It's basically a simple editor in which you can use to compose your messages with vB code formatting and be able to preview the changes instantly.

I'm not going to write a 2 pager essay describing the program, instead I will let it speaks for itself. Please download it and give it a try, it's under 275KB so it should take no time at all consider the average connection here at WHT.

While talking to DTQ one evening about one of his other creations, I mentioned in passing that something like this would be nice. When you like to create eye-catching messages to advertise your products & services here on WHT, it takes alot of time and alot of clicking the "Preview" button at the bottom of the create page to see what your post looks like and make changes to give the best look.

So, I told him I'd like to find a program that allowed you to create your posts offline then just cut-n-paste the final copy right to the create box and Submit then be done with it!

About a week later, here it is! [vB]Writer

I have to say that I'm impressed with what he's been able to do in just a few days of coding! I think anyone else that likes to create eye-catching posts will enjoy using it!

Give it a try and let him know what you think! Send him suggestions on what you would like to see added. Have fun with it! I have!

PS: The posts you create in [vB]Writer will also work in any other forum script that uses the same codes. I have tried it in my PHPBB and it seems to work there as well!

The only suggestion I have so far is to allow for "Crtl+z" support (Edit -> undo typing)

Chris, Undo is currently supported, though very limited. This means that adding tags via the buttons will not affect the undo history. I will find a way to add real undo support soon.

WHT doesnt allow many colors and a huge use of vB though. Am I right? You can get banned for using something like this I think

Hi, did you mean using tags not allowed here like the [IMG] tag? I included everything because it's vB syntax in general, you should know the environment you're posting to anyway so it isn't such a big deal IMO. :D

Eeek, Glad I dont browse the requests forum anymore, the problem with cut/paste adverts just took a while new turn :(
