Just want some inputs on a new CP we are currently developing for our use. Check out the demo and all inputs will more than greatly be appreciated. The system is somewhat slow and all the features are not completed yet and I know that - we are working on it. I am more intereted on getting input as to what features you'd love to see as well as input of overall design of front end. But again, this is not even in beta stage yet (as far as we are concerned). We'll have a beta version out in a month or so!

Demo: http://demo.lithiumsp.com:9001
User: demo
Pass: demo

Thanks!:D

ah come'on ... try an original idea.

for the most part its not bad except for the fact that your top table is a complete rip of our system.

Yeah, and considering all HostGUI seems to have is an html mockup, you ripped their whole CP man!!! :p

Jag

heh , correction... our site contains mere html mockups of a working sytem. Several have experienced hostgui, but none can or will speak about it yet. ( NDA )

Doesnt change the fact that they have undoubtedly used our top table of our sytem for their own.

Our system is originality. We did not rip anything off your html "demo" or screen shots, or off any other working control panel. Everything we do here is from internal input purely based on OUR own creativity.

ummm , ok why then is your top table EXACTLY like ours?

Jag:

I have seen you go at it with other users on this forum for endless threads. I am not going to go down that route with you, sorry :( . Don't make this thread what it should not be. Please open up another thread and make accusations over there. We'll like to keep this what it is, a thread with substantive feedback from "Webhostingtalkers." My earlier response to your FALSE accusations closes this issue as far as we are concerned. Bye!

Um close what you will...still doesnt answer the question. Why did you use our top table layout?

If others wouldnt do stupid things like this then there would be no endless threads trying to get people to own up and just do something original.

Im just making sure that WHT'ers arent being ripped off. If you are soliciting your cp (which your not even supposed to do here) in the forums then it should at least be your design dont ya think? Why should people give suggestions to you when you wont take them. My suggestion is you change our table on your main page so it doesnt like quite so like a rip ...which it obviously is.

To those who have taken a look at the demo...I will like to get your input on the File Manager (Weeble FTP). We are considering replacing it with either of the folloowing:

http://platon.sk/projects/phpWebFileManager/home.php OR
http://cwfm.sourceforge.net/

Any other suggestions will be nice. AND ALSO:

What are your thoughts of OSCommerce vs. Interchange. Should we keep interchange only or switch to OSCommerce or impliment both? OR add something else. Thanks ;)

You definitely should consider OSCommerce.

More and more customers are asking for it.

It is certainly thesame reaction we have gotten. More and more people are using, or requesting for OSCommerce thesedays. We will be looking into adding this in the next couple of days.

I find Lithium SP's template to be much cleaner, and all-in-all a much better designed template then HostGUI has at the URL you've provided.

If I was in your position, Jag, I would be flattered if anyone took the time to rip something off the URL provided.

lsp, please continue to keep up the good work. Don't be distracted from the other CP's who are afraid of possible competition.

edit:

I do like the new skin. I think that one was the one I was referencing above.

Also, your mailing list seems to be down: http://lithiumsp.com/cgi-lib/mailman/listinfo/lsp-lithium

It looks quite nice, be interesting to see how it develops.

One thing i would mention is where you have large text lists, e.g the client list, i can see it would be very hard to read if the list was quite long, because you've aligned the text to the center in each of the table cells it seems all over the place.

I'd either keep it aligned to the left, or use a rule to seperate each line, it would make it alot easier to read.

Just a suggestion, from a quick glance, good luck :)

From a cursory overview, it looks nice. I haven't had a chance to go through the whole thing, but from what I've seen, here are a few suggestions:

1. When I tried to add a new client, it showed "Failure" message. Perhaps it should show some details as to why/where it failed.

2. When showing Client List, it shows everyone in the list. I would imagine if someone had end user clients as well as reseller clients, it would be convenient to be able to display just resellers, for example.

3. After creating an email account, I can't see anywhere that I can go in and change an account's password. I can see creating and account, and deleting one, but that's it. As well, it would be good to have the option to specify disk space for the email account.

Well, that's just a couple that I noticed. Thought you might appreciate some input.

Good job so far. :)

Vito

Not in the main section of the community you don't.

I think this thread has run its course, look at the orginal post date.
