When you're looking for a new dedicated server, how would you rank the following in order of importance?
-Price
-Company Reputation
-Hardware/Software availabilty
-Support
-Location of the DC
I was just curious as to how much people differ (or are similar) in their decision making process :)
If I left anything out, feel free to throw in your .02.

I just plotted mine out and it came out the same as Taki's. :)
BonnMac, for hosting game servers or something where you would like to have hands-on service, location is extremely important. If you just want a web server, it's less important. Personally, all of our servers are within an easy drive. I find that's a lot easier than having to deal with having them all over the country. Of course, we own all of our servers, too, so it's doubly important that they be close by. :)
DaveMC, BTW, your signature should only be 4 lines long... you might want to do what I did and put a couple separators in instead of line breaks.

My thoughts are:
1 Support
2 Company Reputation
3 Hardware/Software availability
4 Price
5 Location of the DC
Location should be the last thing to worry about I think. Support and company reputation are the most important.
1. Support
2. Hardware/Software availability
3. Company Reputation
4. Price
5. Location of the DC
Just had a bad experience with support. Support is everything - support, support, support... - the hardware should function properly off course, but excellent NOCs and servers are worthless if you have to wait for days for responses on general support questions, and 15 hours on emergency requests.
