I am currently with Web Fusion who offer 100 MB of webspace but I regularly go over their bandwidth allowance of 3GB per month. Therefore, I am looking for another host. I need a host which will allow me to also transfer my WAP pages over too. Someone has suggested Wyenet or Aletia. What is your opinion of them and which one should I go for?

Thanks in advance for any help.

i dont' know about wynet so i can't comment there, but i switched to aletia about a month or so ago, and i have to say i'm totally blown away by their service and highly recommend them.

their prices are great, i've not had one problem with them and their panel is easy to use and configure.

what's more, i can talk to their techs real time via AIM, and they are patient and helpful. i am not an expert coder, i'm just a design guy who has clients who need hosting and service, so there are times when i need some help.

i came from dreamhost which was a nightmare (when it was up and running) and could not be happier now that i'm at aletia.

best of luck.

In response to your question, I have checked both hosts as well as search for more options for you to choose from.

Aletia
Seems like a solid host, their plan that is comparable to your plan at Web Fusion is:
9.95 a month, 200MB, 10 GB transfer, and a ton of extras.

<<EDIT>>

Biatrix
Looks a little shaky. As with all Hosts I'm listing, they offer WAP support. Their comparable plan is:
$45 a month, 100 MB, unlimited transfer, with an adequate amount of features.
I did not check on how solid their network is, but their terms of usage define state that, "When Biatrix.com becomes aware of an alleged violation of its Terms of Use, Biatrix.com will initiate an investigation. During the investigation Biatrix.com may restrict Customer 's access in order to prevent further possible unauthorized activity. " This includes excess use of bandwidth, they however don't state how much bandwidth that would be....

<<EDIT>>

Burlee
Burlee is a solid Web Host with experience in the Hosting industry, their Host plan that most closely resembles what you want is:
$39.95, 200MB, 7.5 GB transfer, sizeable amount of features.

*****
The often-maligned ***** has an interesting plan for developers in your shoes. Their plan is:
$30 1 GB of space, unlimited bandwidth, their 'Refugee' special says that they wave the setup fee.

<<EDIT>>

Wyenet.com
Wyenet.com does not look too bad. They Host plan is:
$29, 300MB, 6GB, quite a few extras.

<<EDIT>>

If I could have more details on what you are looking for, I’m sure I could help a whole lot more. As with all things, finding a Web Host is an important venture and I would assume you are doing your own research. They all seem to be fairly good in their own rights. I cannot talk from experience with any of them, for I have not Hosted with any of these companies, however for pricing I would go with Aletia, but then again I do not know how they handle support.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions just ask <<EDIT>>

Thank you for your help. I am currently with Web Fusion at http://www.webfusion.co.uk/ . They offer 100 MB but only 3GB of bandwidth usage. I have the site split across two hosts at present and only have about 12 MB with Web Fusion but I regularly go over the bandwidth allowance and it is too expensive at £245 (about $390) + extra bandwidth per year, especially as it is not a business site.

I need up to 100 MB of space (room to grow) and a large bandwidth quota is important. I would like to have my site altogether on the one host which will put the bandwidth usage up a lot but I don't know by how much because my bandwidth usage at my other host is not restricted or measured. I also have some WAP pages which I would like to keep with whichever host I move to. I also don't want anything too expensive because this site is just a hobby site. I also want to transfer it's domain name. Of course, I also need a host that has a good up-time and fast connectivity.

Wyenet at http://www.wyenet.com has a special offer of 500 MB, 10GB of monthly bandwidth/transfer and WAP support for $19.95 per month

Aletia offers 200 MB, 10 GB of monthly bandwidth and I've been told by them that they support WAP for $9.95 per month.

I signed up with Aletia about a month ago for another site and I am very impressed by their support. As I am in the UK I find being able to contact them via ICQ or AIM a great bonus. However, the site I have with them is not as popular as the site I am looking to transfer and it is very important that I find somewhere with a fast connection, a good uptime and plenty of bandwidth usage. I haven't used Wyenet and they are not as quick to answer my questions as Aletia but I am wondering if it is worth paying more for their service compared to Aletia.

I will also check out the hosts you have suggested Jim.

Thank you for all your help.
