Just for your info, others are bigmailbox.com & chek.com...

It i have a choice, i won't go for free emailing outsource, since advertising revenue are lessen nowsday, free provider had to add more ads (banners, popups, etc..) to cover their cost therefore (to what i know) many users are annoyed by the popups.

Looks like everyone.net has been affected by the dot com bust and they have discontinued their free service (at least I can't find it on their site).

They have 700.000 accounts (probably not all active) that they are trying to sell their new services to. I am using their email service for one of my sites and I have about 2000 subscribers. They have steadily increased the amount of advertising using pop-unders, etc and they give the impression that they are hurting financially (who isn't these days?). I hope they don't become dot gones, what a hassle to have to move 2000 accounts.

What do you think of their service? The email service itself, support, etc.? Do your users like it? I've recommended it a few times with the disclaimer that I haven't used the service nor know anyone that they could ask. T'would be nice to have some info re: them.

Chicken:

Well, the support is friendly and fast. Haven't seen it down at all since I started using the service even though they did have a harddisk failure in the beginning but I can't say whether any of my users were affected since I didn't have anyone at that time.

I also sent several suggestions/wishes to them and the owner sounded like he was interested in implementing some of them. But everytime I ask about it now he doesn't answer the question but only the other questions I had in the same mail. A bit annoying but I'm still hoping.

I have only heard good feedback from my users even though I don't really like any of the 22 different themes you can select :)

everyone.net - I saw this site a little while ago, but preferred http://www.bigmailbox.com for some reason. I've been considering it for a while, but have no experience with it I'm afraid.

i had been using bigmailbox... their support techs seem to have rocks for brains though... having to reexplain things generally three times before they semi-understood. After a good week and a half of the email still not working correctly I've given up.

not to mention that you need to dodge about 80 opt-out spam offers just to get an email account setup... ::eewies::

Everyone.net just sent out a survey today, so I suggested some more templates and design to chose from - I havnt been real exited about there existing templates either. But there page loading and service is very fast, easy setup too, I've been happy with them...

Yeah, to be honest, although they do have quite a few (I consider 22 to be quite a few) to choose from, I wasn't all that thrilled with the unprofessional look of them. They need a web designer. Even having one decent one would be better. Aside from that, I might give them a go myself for a few of the domains that I really don't have a clue what else to do with.

you@satansmidgets.com ??? :D (Don't ask)

that's what i was planning on doing, but the frustration in getting it to actually work eventually had overridden the desire to do something with it.

One of my suggestions was to setup a design editor similar to what Community Architect offers so you can choose the different colors, buttons (or make your own) etc.

Another suggestion was to pre-select a design that all your user should use aand they can't select other ones because I can live with the black/white design.
