Is it possible that I, as a reseller, can back up each of my clients sites wuthout having to go in through their cpanel (something I dont really want to do as its a tad invasive!!)

Your dedicated server host has this capability - they could perhaps script a cron job to make them downloadable for you. We did something similar for a shared client that wanted his backup put in a specific location by a specific time, because he's traveling around the world and runs the risk of having his account broken into when he visits the cybercafes around there. So he has a server at home that automatically ftp's in and downloads the backups after we put them in his /home/ directory.

Ask your host if this is a possibility.
