View Full Version : Best Ticket/Support software...
nocturnix123 07-25-2003, 10:21 PM Hey guys,
I'm sure this topic has been done before, but I am too excited to search for it now, and I want to hear what everyone has to say...
I'm looking for the following:
1. Best free ticket/live support software system
2. Best paid ticket/live support software system
I want something that is customizable template/graphics wise, im sure most are, and is very easy to use on the client's end.
Thanks in advance friends,
-Malcolm
Shiek 07-25-2003, 10:36 PM There is no "best", its well up to your preference.
But to my preference of use, and customization, I will suggest eSupport (www.kayako.com)
Enjoy!
coight 07-27-2003, 12:13 AM Kayako is the best
enhance 07-27-2003, 01:41 AM Kayako is the best maybe... It is cheaper then systems used by larger firms that can range from 1,000s to 10,000 of thousands.
DrAtomic 07-29-2003, 10:17 AM Perldesk is not more then a working idea... expect to spend to a week or so customizing the perl code... Especially if you need it in a different language.
DrAtomic
... Does it work in Europe?.... Ehrm, yes, but it needs an adapter...
DrAtomic 07-29-2003, 10:47 AM This http://www.kayako.com stuff looks very good indeed, but is it solid? Is anyone (webhoster) using it in production?
Cheers,
DrAtomic
AussieHosts 07-29-2003, 12:06 PM www.inverseflow.com is up there as well.

seppuku 07-29-2003, 03:13 PM Best open-source ticketing system in my opinion is RT - http://www.bestpractical.com/rt/. You can also buy support from them if you need. Unlike other system, you would hardly ever have to switch to something more powerful later.
I've implemented RT myself dozens of times, PM if you need help.
Incognito 07-29-2003, 07:58 PM I assume you are offering free assistance and you have no relationship with bestpractical. Otherwise you would be violating rules and I am sure you wouldn't do that....would you?

Did I say anything about money involved? And no, I'm not affiliated with RT team in any way.

Check These People out.
They make an excellent support package.

phpcoder 07-30-2003, 01:34 PM My company will be switching over to use eSupport within the next week or so - due to problems/bugs with our current helpdesk.
I have had my eyes on eSupport for a few months now, listening to what people have to say, playing with demos, etc! I would say 2 thumbs up!
InverseFlow gets the thumbs up from me :)
juanmanuel 07-30-2003, 04:40 PM I just installed osticket and it's the best of the free ones....

Still missing a few features here and there (such as SLA reports on global level and client level)... But same here we are looking into deploying this one too...

Luxore 07-31-2003, 04:23 PM We are testing Kayako. It's majorly buggy, but still promising.

I would appreciate if you could post your problems either on our forums or email them directly to me at varun AT kayako.com, most of the times it is just user error but if you find any problem that is in our package rest assured that it will be fixed asap, additionally you can also forward me any suggestions you have for our next version. We will be glad to implement them.
