Looking for reasonably priced windows servers
Hello,
I am looking to be an e-commerce solution provider and I need to locate a windows based secure server to host ecommerce websites that allows secure online transactions. Can anyone recommend a website that sells windows servers at a reasonable price. Or does anyone know of a company that I can rent a server, install some software, and host my future customers websites.
If you have any other suggestions that would be great.
Thanks
Hans

Secure? Windows server? Today's an interesting day to put those two things together... :)
You'll have better response if you post your question in the Hosting Offers / Requests forum.

windows based secure server
ther is no windows based server which is secure.
all windows server have several security holes. so be aware that you need to update server every week with patches released by microsoft.
bill gates is working hard to sale it's product and not secure it. he only secure his bank accounts .
:D :D :D
rackmy.com looks good and he is also on this forms.
Aloha
funny there is no computer that is secure linux included
everybody loves to bash NT
its as secure as the person who sets it up
more people like to attack win boxes so they get a bad rap
also a lot of people set them up with no clue
you say set up and install patches install patches
I would love to see any of you install a redhat 6.2 or 7.1 and not install an update
kidy scripts would blow you open in a second
all security is a constant updating proccess
a box is secure as the person setting it up
a top NT guy can make a NT box more secure than some Linux/unix wanabee can
and vice versa
I get tired of this all the time
its a stupid argument
like ford and chevy
nobody wins ;)
so if you think this is not true you are misinformed and not educated so you follow everyone else saying this that does not know the blind leading the blind so to speak

one is not better or worse than the other depends on the job to be done
