I'm looking for a dedicated linux box. I've already had the luck of finding a crappy host. Luckily they offered a 30 day money back guarantee. The server was fast and set up within hours, but couldn't get a hold of anyone for support. Do any of you have any suggestions? I'm looking at paying between $100 - $200 a month. Ip's aren't an issue. All I need is one. All I ask is I get as much ram, Mhz and Band for my buck. I'm a newbie, so support is everything.

Because the last host I went with never responded to my requests, I was forced to learn the webmin system. I really liked it and would like to find a host that offers that program pre-installed.

The site(60 days old) I want hosted has been mentioned in BusinessWeek, SearchEngineWatch(Danny Sullivan), and in several newsletters and ebooks. It's crashed our shared server several times and they want us gone. :( The only reason they haven't pulled us completely is because the other 20+ sites I have hosted with them. We get a tremendous amount of webmaster traffic for anyone interested in offering us a discount in exchage for advertising.

I promise I'm not blowing smoke when I say we get a tremendous amount of webmaster traffic. That's the main reason we need a dedicated server. The current host can't handle it. As long as you can keep us below $150 a month, we'll promote you like mad. Front page, newsletters, editor pages, you name it. You got it!

It looks like the saying is true "you get what you pay for". I've just raised my suggested price. I am now willing to pay $300 a month. Now, who's the best?
