Hi,

Anyone else here from the UK have servers with the ThePlanet and receiving questions / complaints from BT (mainly ADSL) users ?

It seems very intermittent and as I don't have ADSL myself I'm finding it very hard to do any sort of checks but I've had a number of customers phoning up over the last week or so saying they can't see their sites and / or ftp connections etc. are being dropped without warning.

I know BT are pretty dire so it's just as likely a problem their end but I can't be the only hearing this can I ?

A traceroute would help from your clients.

I am having problems from Australia, the link between sprint and timewarner adds an extra 80ms onto my ping :(. Never used to be like that.

I am on BTOpenWorld ADSL here in the UK. I have not had any problems recently, but a few weeks ago, one of BT's routers must've exploded, as my traceroutes to my servers at TP were stopping at a BT router.

I tried on someone else's non-BT and it was fine. So maybe this happening again could have been the cause of the problems.

If you've got an IP, I will trace it for you if you like... might help towards knowing where the problem is.
