Thanks Matt :) Allright, here goes again.

Liquidweb has put a cap on my site because they claim I use too much server resources even though I've moved only 23GB of my 30GB/month allowance. As soon as any traffic gets put on my site they close it down. I tried browsing my forums while downloading drivers (a total of 4.5MB of files) and they shut it down within 15 seconds.

I need a good, reliable host - I need 30GB a month minimum and 1GB of storage, minimum. I also need PHP4/MySQL support and Perl / CGI. Suggestions? Please?

Okay, I finally got through to someone at Liquid Web who knew what the hell he was talking about. This is after 4 calls as to why my site is still down.

Apparently, they've implemented a cap on sites that use high bandwidth. If you use 25% of your monthly bandwidth, they limit you to 100kbytes a sec. If you use 50%, they limit you to 50kbytes a sec. If you use 75% (I have every month I have been with them) they now limit you to 26kbytes a sec.

So now, any type of traffic shuts down my site. Even though there is one day left in the month and I have 7GB of bandwidth left, no one can still visit my site. And they won't take the cap off. They refuse.

When I inquired as to why they felt no need to notify customers of this new change in policy, he went off on some random discussion of something that didn't pertain to the question.

In summation, Bye Bye Liquidweb. I highly advise no one to use their services as they obviously do not care much about the people who pay their bills - us.

That is really too bad. Good Luck.

Yep, same with my site... Except I have only used 10 gigs this month!!!

I phoned them up from jolly old England, and they were about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

I posted this on the other board --> http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16628

So I could find a host like Liquidweb, but who don't limit traffic like they do.

Look the best so far...........
