You goto a site and like it and see a link/banner that says advertise here. You click because you are interested in seeing the rates but all they have is a list of who they have served ads for and a email address telling you to email for more info.

Sorry but if I buy advertising its on the spur of the moment not whenever they want to email me back.

Anyone else bothered by this? ;p

Sorry all its just that I have been to MANY of the host dir's and all want you to email them.

*mods please move this if I posted to the wrong spot.

Guess I am the only one who thinks this is a pain! :P

No, you are not alone.
And this is right not only for ads, just for many sites offering services. As if it's a secret what they have to offer!

This is true of many things. There's a very simple explanation: the site wants to make the most money off you. If they publish rates, they can't charge higher than what type publish. Whereas if you have to email them, then can offer you whatever rate they think they can get and then bargain from there.

Of course, PlanetZ. But would you buy at a supermarket when you won't know the price when looking at the good?
There are many, many customers like me who turn away immediately when they are looking for a service and the site doesn't offer some prices.

If a site requires me to email them for pricing info I will not purchase the product/service. I understand the concept of trying to get the most for your product/service but sites are driving away more business then they are getting, atleast in my opnion. :smokin:

Agreed..........

It's their loss. I'm not about to email them back or visit again:rolleyes:
