- access to our state-of-the-art help desk system.
- MySQL databases (with phpMyAdmin).

or aletiahosting.com's June WHT Special:

9.95/month (7.95/month for a year)
250MB
10GB
3 Domain Hosting
20 subdomains
20 ftp
20 mysql
etc.

I need to host 3 domains. I want at least the 10GB and 250 MB. Aletia is the minimum that I want, and I hear that they have great tech support. Hostiva is relatively unknown. I'd really rather go with Hostiva.com because they offer so much more, but how can I be sure they will be as good?

I'd rather have a lightening fast server (ftp and all) than have twice the bw and diskspace.

Any suggestions?

hmmm aletiahosting does not support some forum have to take note

"Forum Software: Only one instance of an online forum should be run from a single hosting account (even those with multi-hosted domains enabled). Forum software supported and recommended include vBulletin and phpBB (mySQL version). Forum software using flat-file databases (e.g. UltimateBB, YaBB, IkonBoard flat-file version) are strongly discouraged and may result in the suspension of the affected account"

I use ubb and ikonboard that means i cannot sign up for that and their plan is good from what i see and forum here also did memntion abt their services worth a try.

cheers

Hmm, I would be using mysql any way so that isn't a big deal. I wonder why they disallow mutliple forums tho. Perhaps it is too server intensive.

I was really hoping that someone would have an opinion that they would like to share. Hostiva and neither seem to be tied right now.

Who is the neither?

Why Hostiva?

Why Aletia?

So, Thom, when you say you need to host 3 domains, do that mean you need 3 accounts? Aletia support multidomain hosting, and I don't know whether hostiva can do it.

I have accounts with both companies. hostiva is new, but it seems professional and usually you get a response in 24 hours. Aletia has a longer history and they do include icq for support which mean sometimes you get instant response to your questions.

The download speed is slower from aletia. I have never been able to download a files at 100kbps or faster. hostiva has a better file download speed. For html, php forums, and picture files, you couldn't tell the speed diference.

aletia is with NAC and hostiva is with burstnet.

Conclusion: I may go with aletia first.

I need multidomain hosting. I thought that I asked Hostiva is that is what the 5 hosted domains meant, but I'm not so sure anymore.

What's the difference between NAC and BurstNET in terms of speed and reliability?

I know nothing about hostiva.. but aletias offer sound more real than offer 20 GB for $10.
I would recommend Aletia
