$-0

biz - abbriviation for business
info - abbriviation for information
.ws - western samoa.

so business information for western samoa? I dont think any cares frankly. I wouldn't be investing too much into .ws.

doesn't the TLD .ws stand for website?

No, the domains are sold as WebSite but originally represent the Western Samoa country.
Compare it with .tm (TradeMark / Turkmenistan) , .tv (TeleVision / Tuvalu) , and new : .fm for radio stations !

No. they just want you to think that. The group that was in charge of it for western samoa sold the rights to it to a company to market similar to .tk, .tv, and others.

interesting, I was unaware of that

That's new to me too.
But at my opinion, if just only 1% of people know that .ws represent the Western Samoa country and the remaining 99% understand it as WebSite or WorldSite, the TLD will still have the value of the later ones despite the original meaning. Correct me if I'm wrong

I see you only registered the domain a few days ago, is there any particular reason why you think it would suddenly be worth more than the reg price?

I'd have to agree with the others and say $0 sorry

Loon, what do you think is the biggest difference between bizinfo.com and bizinfo.ws? I'm sure it's not the age of the .com
What about your idea? I want something valuable from you, not some thing b/s

Well there is a big difference between .com and .ws, if you're talking about common single word domains then .ws still has value, as does any other extension, but i wouldn't say bizinfo is worth anything, not even the .com would fetch alot.

biz - short for business but it's not something somebody will just type in.

If it was well developed then that's a different story, because it is quite easy to remember. I was just wondering why you thought it had any value.

indeed, .tk is in hands of an American-Dutch corporation , .tv and .to are in American hands

However, the governments of Tuvalu and Tonga could always demand the domains back once the contract is ended. The contract says that the TV and TO names can be exploit by an American company, once the contract is over the local governments can easily take the ccTLD back home.

I wonder however how long .tk domains will exist anyway, Tokelau is not a sovereign country and the TK domain is clearly a commercial invention.
Compare it to for example .com : this domain will probably be around as long as the internet exists, so when you buy a .com you can keep it for a lifetime, I'm curious to see if .tk is still around within a few decades (same for e.g. the domains of Bouvet, Svalbard, Kerguelen, South Sandwich Islands, ...)
