I am looking to set up hosting as a reseller and i wanted to offer my clients the following service.

A form that sends the output to a fax machine.
This way they dont have to keep checking their computers for orders, as orders come through they get faxed immediatly.

Is there a script anywhere to do this or do i need some kind of software?

Any help appreciated. ;)

Not that I know of...
But you can use a mail program to check mail every 5 minutes, or 1 minute, and it prints out any new mail. Basically the same thing.

there is an add-on module that you would need to install for linux and can be done easily :)

it would listen to your email account and then fax the email contents to you...

Does this use some kind of email-to-fax gateway ?.

There is a free service I read about , but cannot recall the name.

I personally use Efax. I have a fax number in the US. Faxes which are received then get converted and sent to me as emails. I can send an email to the Efax gateway which then gets sent as a regular fax.

Cheers,

The service that was mentioned above is based on fax server "cells". You need to make sure that there is a cell in the local area of the fax machine that you are sending the fax to. You can check this on their website. Also there is usually an advertising cover sheet that will arrive with your fax. Some don't send anything but most hosts do.

We use this service and it has worked very well for us.
