However I NEED the following....all offers MUST include the following!

* At least 500mb storage
* At least 20gig monthly traffic - would love 30 gig if possible
* TOP TOP TOP TOP support! Has to be very very good support
(phone would be nice) - must be 24 hour and QUICK!
* Must have PHP 4/ Mysql
* Would prefer Cpanel
* Anon FTP
* Ability to stream Real Audio - DJ mixes ;)
* Free Subdomain setup (with no monthly charge)
* Free Domain pointing too! (hehe!)

* Oh, and Webalizer !

$20/mo. for 20 gigs of bandwidth? It seems to me any host who offered you this would be losing money on your account- since no host that I know of can get $1/GB. I know a lot of hosts do play the game of averages, but when they KNOW a site is very popular and has a good chance of using all that bandwidth, I don't see why they would take it... To tell you the truth, once a site starts to use more than 20-30 GB, it's time to start thinking about a dedicated server.

I agree- most hosts wouldn't even break even at that rate.

Some of the above have stated that $1.00 per GB is to low and the host is losing money, nope you can get it that low. During my searches on how the webhosting world works and who supplies who I have found several places that if you buy in the quanity of 2 Mbps or more your bandwidth per GB is in the $0.75 - $0.85 range. ( and a little lower if you go higher in Mbps)

Take into the account the cost of the server, etc. you are not making alot of money, under a buck from the prices that I have found, but you can make money. :smokin:

Contacted Liquidweb and was told about their new "throttling" system.

With 30 gig of monthly traffic the following restrictions apply depending on if you use 1/4 1/2 3/4 etc of the bandwidth -->

0 - 1/4 BWLIMIT no limit.
1/4->1/2 BWLIMIT 100k/s limit
1/2->3/4 BWLIMIT 50k/s limit
3/4-> BWLIMIT (26k/s->1k/s)
