A business plan in short is predicting your financial turnover for the next year, so you work out how many of each type of product you need to sell in order to break even.

When creating a plan I found there are a tremendous amount of resources out there to help you, there is likely a Regional Development Authority in your area with experts who will meet with you and work with you to get a plan ready. It's a powerful tool, whether you're looking for capital to get started out or just to make sure you're taking the right path, it took us several months to get ours to the point where we were happy with it.
