Well WHT is an awesome place to get help... so let me present this problem to all of you :)

I use IE 6 and when I type in www.ebay.com (and yes... I do spell it right ;)) it will ALWAYS give me a 404 error and the address bar will show:

Now, if I just highlight that URL, delete it, and type in www.ebay.com again... it works. This is the only website that does this for me. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc, etc.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Thank you,

Synthetic

Try downloading AdAware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com ). It helped me remove HuntBar from my system before.

dont use toolbars. They often just get your browser to display their ads. Some are useful but I refuse to use them. Those types of things hide themselves in multiple places and are very difficult to rid yourself of.

huntbar is a sneaky sort of spyware. Have removed it from several computers that have come in here recently.

I had to reinstall IE to get rid of the same thing.

I have an odd problem myself - when using my parent's computer I can login to some sites that require passwords without any problems, but some others say I don't have cookies enabled when I know for a fact that they are enabled. What is the likely problem here?
