View Full Version : Direct i ?
richy2 07-16-2003, 06:52 AM Hi Everyone.
Has any Directi resellers had any news from them about when there service will be up and running again, I don't seem to be getting any replies to my emails. :(
Thanks

bagfull 07-16-2003, 07:40 AM Sometimes price is not everything... DirectI goes down too often and is a pain for resellers... Pay little more and switch to enom.
Well sorry... that is not what you asked... I got reply from them and they say they will be back any moment now... (God knows when that moment will come)
apollo 07-16-2003, 09:33 AM yeah, they are priced very good, but I dont like their web control panel .... enom rocks..
richy2 07-16-2003, 09:37 AM Thanks guys :D
Im just not sure of enom pirces? Im sure I have read somewhere about it being $600
Does anyone have there price list?
Apolo 07-16-2003, 12:43 PM Well, I have to say that I really like DirectI control panel. And I'm pretty sure they will rock :gthumb:
And about Enom "Basic Package", it requires a credit of $495 to your reseller account, credited toward 55 domain names ($8.95 each).
"Volume Package" > 500 domains > $7.95 each.
"Premier Package" > 1000 domains > $6.95 each.
Greetings!

eric81 07-17-2003, 02:48 PM I also agree with Eboy Regarding Directi Reseller Control Panel Features.

You could always get a free $8.95 enom account first and when you get alot of clients switch over to become a ETP and they will transfer all of your domain/clients over to your new account for you
richy2 07-18-2003, 03:30 AM Thanks Guys - Im very greatful for your help. :)
Im going for a enom resellers account at $8.95 with a friend and think I will be using the Drams api.
Thanks again
bagfull 07-18-2003, 04:03 AM Right way man... enom is the way to go... directI can never match enom...
NeonHQ 07-18-2003, 04:07 PM EBoy has been emphasizing how good Directi is. Do Directi still having problem?
Apolo 07-18-2003, 04:27 PM Hello NeonHQ,
I'm afraid they are still debugging their new API, but they are definitely going the right way. And I do like their control panel. It's more clear and faster than eNom's. And if I say so it's because I do know eNom control panel as well ;)
Of course you can't compare a company with 2,100,000 registrations and 18,900 resellers (eNom) to a company with 60,000 registrations and 900 resellers (Directi), but the fact is that they are getting almost the same (or even superior) level of functionality that eNom's control panel offers.
And once again I have to say I have nothing against eNom. I'm sure they are one of the best accredited registrars out there :)
Greetings,
Eboy

AvailableHost 07-18-2003, 11:27 PM I always recommend Enom if you want to sell domain as a reseller. Try to post a request in "related offer and request" forum and you will get some offer for a Enom reseller account.
I have used Enom for 1 year and I'm quite happy with them.
4solutions 07-18-2003, 11:45 PM Obviously enom is the 800 pound guerilla in the wholesale domain business.
But I still think that people are blowing off Directi too quickly. I have had a reseller account now for testing for about a month now... and I have been quite impressed with their support and service. Perfect... no. But they have been going through a complete upgrade of their API system. I have been receiving update emails almost everyday telling me what is going on... what bugs were found and what bugs were fixed.
I appreciate honesty... and that's a whole lot more than we apparently got from the GoDaddy database mixup earlier this month.
Although I do not have customers using the system yet... everytime I test it it seems to be working flawlessly (at least for me). You guys can go with your $8.95 enom accounts if you want... I think $6.99 and $6.49 works much better for MY bottom line!

Im not knocking Directi, but one reply to a support ticket that was sent over 2 weeks ago would be nice, im a full member with directi and have not heard from them, iv emailed them, sent support tickets, and heard nothing! I don't mind waiting but I do mind not knowing were I stand.
This is why im now interested in enom :)
