After 3 months hosted at SRLHosting.Com, I'm leaving them. Not because of anything that they did, but rather their excellent services have allowed my hosting company to grow large enough that I am able to afford a dedicated server.
Support Rating: B+ - The support was always rather quick. They always responded in at least 6 hours. Most of my questions were rather simple ones having to due with the server configuration, or a billing problem (Like me accidently cancelling all paypal subscriptions, or account upgrades). Most of the time the problem was solved within the first response, although there were a few times where it took 3-4 responses to get it straightened out.
Server Speed: A - The server I was on, was a P4 2.4GHZ, 1.5 Gigabytes of Ram, with a IDE Hard Drive. It was always fast, although it did slow down bit at peak times as the server load did spike to about 1.50 a couple of times. But, it still ran fast, just not as fast.
Network: A+ - Simple. The Planet's network rocks.
Downtime: B- - I did notice the server was rebooted rather often, while reboots only take 30 seconds to a minute, it does add up. Not to mention there was some major downtime last sunday, when a hard drive swap went bad. Rob from SRL, however was constantly posting updates on their forums so that we could keep track of what was going on.
Other notes:
Fantastico is installed for point and click install for scripts.
You cannot terminate accounts in WHM, as they noticed a few times people were not doing it correctly, killing apache.
Rob is very consciousness of the community, and consults with them as to what they're going to do, what to install and what not to install. I'd say they're one of the next HTTPMe's.
