if you are looking for good staff then you should offer something more than 15$ hosting ;)

Yes, I understand that, but since I am going out on a limb to start my service with a good ball roll, I am low on the $.... Although in the near future they will get more..

Then it's best to do it yourself. No one qualified to handle support or billing is going to do it with a hosting account, and if they are I would be worried what their intentions were (or if they had any idea what they were doing). I'd just tough it out yourself until you can afford to pay staff.

I already do have some staff that are volunteer staff from around my local area.

You may be big and offering this advice that I should do it on my own.... I just need extra people out there that are willing to help that need hosting...

Have you ever heard about helping eachother out? Isn't that what americans do? Well if you think not then I suggest you dont critize me... There are some good people out there, that want to help people out. And thanks for the advice, but I'll be carefull who I choose....

Quite the opposite, I'm not big at all. But for the first several months I did EVERYTHING on my own, it sucked, but it was worth it in the end.

Yes, but not when it comes to a commercial business. Had you been a charity, or a non-profit offering something I'm sure people would volunteer, but you are a commercial company, why would anyone want to volunteer for a company that is working for profit? It just doesn't make sense.

Well i don't mind helping him, and i am. I just think it doesn't matter about money, hosting, etc. If you feel its the right thing to do, the only person stopping you is urself.

I dont think he is saying all of this to be mean or to kill your idea. But I am sure you have a job other than hosting , what if you went in and your boss said you know what we cant pay you but we can give you this really nice chair, next week maybe a desk. It just doesnt always work that well when offering services like that. You may be able to pick up someone in their teens hard up that would like a hosting account. But if you want some quality support/sales reps you have to pay for it.

That's a good point, but some people (like myself) have extra time. My business is dead in the summer, even though I own a marketing firm. Fishi I added you to my MSN btw.

I'll give you some free advice. Maybe you should not have a customer testimonial claiming to be with you since January when your site wasn't even registered until April.

Will you accept someone without experience but willing to learn? I have a friend who wanted to learn about hosting and I've been teaching him. He'll do it for free. He just need the experience.

Hmmm, how do you know I wasnt hosting before then? Infact yes I was. A small hosting company that opened in december and was named Fishy Artifact. In January I opened Fishi Hosting and in march I found someone who's a very good friend to me now... I use his servers in a datacenter (www.nac.net). John DeFelice who gave me a testimonial was with me in December. So please get your facts straight before trying to prove me wrong....
