If you are using a raq for hosting business then what is its limits and what are the major security issues.

Of course it depends on what type of raq (3,4 etc) and the ram. On a raq 3, 128 MB - I would suggest no more than 100 sites (with cgi). Don't know much about the security end of it-

Cobalt RAQ's are not suitable for 'bulk' hosting. I have successfully run up to 180 sites on an old original RAQ, RAQ2 and RAQ3 with all the trimmings - PHP4, Perl, MySQL etc.

If you want to host your design customers then Cobalts are great - if you are planning to do bulk web hosting then a powerful linux machine is the way to go.

Thats my opinion :)

Raq seems good for budget web host. The sites seem to be smaller. Family sites, clubs, scout groups, etc. Sites that don't get a ton of hits.

agree with mlovick

raq is good for bulk hosting, but if you are looking for quality hosting then linux is good

RaQ is a no go for large sites.

What would constitute a large site, do you think?
