Look at http://www.hostmatters.com
We started reselling for them a few years back and have nothing but good memories.

dathorn is great. You can resell with their accounts. I have 100% uptime for the last two months.

Hello,
I am using P4host.com and aside from a DOS attack (by an outside source) I havent had any problems. Also, companies are not allowed to advertise on the reseller forum.
Another thing is, if you look for hosts that offer a trial period greater than 20 days you can get a good idea of their service. Not all new hosts are bad...
Thank you,
Arvand Sabetian

When asking for recommendations here you will get two types:
1. Genuine customers posting honest opinions about a host they believe in
2. Customers posting because their cr**py host told them to.
Unfortunately it will be difficult to distinguish between the two.
If you really want to make sure you go with a quality host I would recommend you take a look through the reseller forums and read the last few pages worth of posts. Develop a list and then search these forums for feedback on that list of companies. Also email there support and sales departments to check response times are acceptable for you.

Matt put it best. Check out the reviews on WHT, do searches for the hosts you're considering. Emailing them and asking questions at various times work well in finding out how good the company is. I also recommend that you do not sign up for a year's worth of the plan you choose, I would recommend maybe starting out month to month, and purchase a year's worth on down the road or continue paying by the month.

Some hosts that have pretty good reviews are Dathorn, Cybrisk, HTTPme, CredibleHost and HostGator. I personally have a CredibleHost account (but virtual) for my mum's site. The performance is great, no noticeable downtime and the owner (Bonnie) is fantastic.
