RackShack does not provide RAID servers, and Nocster doesn't provide it on any of their advertised plans, but you can probably contact sales@nocster.net to ask about prices with RAID, as they do offer RAID configurations on their Burst.net servers.

Not according to their site... http://rackshack.net/english/xeon_series.asp

The only server with RAID that they have was the "Intel Pentium III 1GHz 1.5GB (2) 40GB/RAID1 ", and that's been sold out for months.

Take a look at Rackforce.com, they offer SCSI RAID arrays.

Yes, we will do custom quotes...including RAID setups...hardware or software based.

Contact one of our helpful resellers around here with your specific needs :-)

"hardware OR software based"

Some client DO prefer saving a few extra dollars on software based RAID...
Both are available therefore.

What exactly is wrong with software RAID? The Linux implementation of software RAID is solid, and introduces almost no CPU overhead...

Plus, its cheaper, and you have one less piece of hardware in a box to fail. :-)

Take care,
