Has anyone bought their own Class C+ from ARIN? One of the datacenters we are using are getting stingy with IP's so we are just going to go ahead and start buying our own (makes portability much easier anyhow). I know its $2,500 for the initial setup . It is just $100 / yr after that for the consecutive blocks? How long did it take? Does anyone have the template filled out and can email it to me. I wan't to make sure I fill it out correctly.
Thanks!

Unless you have your own providers seperate from the DC, how will the data get routed with your arbitrary block of Class C IP Addresses?

You'd have to work out something with your DC to advertise your IP space from their routers. I dont like your chances. good luck

You can't get just a 'class C' of IP's from ARIN - they'll tell you to go to your bandwidth provider for them. Minimum is a /20 (16 * class 'c' networks)
The DC I am in now told me I should go to ARIN and they will cooperate. They are trying to charge me $50 / month per 100 IP's which is complete crap. I am buying another full 42U's from them and they popped that on me. We are this datacenters biggest customer I am sure they will work with us on the IPs.
