Very thoughtful of that adword advertising. Please don't hesitate to make them spend money on it though - click the link to their site!

They did the same thing to MCHOST. Interesting marketing ploy. I guess that means you are well known?

Won't help much I think. Since this is probably a low value keyword they're paying cents instead of dollars per click.

You should buy adwords for "bent axis" :)

I'm wondering if it is just a keyword return based on other factors aside from the actual word searched for. What I mean is, if searching for "voxtreme" pulls up your site, Google reads your meta tags (or something) and determines that the site is about hosting (for example) and then pulls up a sponsor based on that. Could be anyhow...

:puke: BENT-AXIS does the same for MCHOST:

[EDIT] And add HTTPME to the mix as well:

Could be anyhow... It'd be a cool idea, and GoogleLab's "sets" beta shows that they could do it... but no, AdWords doesn't work that way.

Anyway no AdWords listings are showing for the linked search right now, so apparently they pulled it -- either permanently or temporarily.

What I find offensive (and deceptive) is how they describe themselves:
---------------------
Sponsored Links
Looking for httpme?
Better than httpme. Host unlimited
websites, private label, free trial
w.w.w.bentaxis.com
----------------------
Advertising on search pages is one thing, but saying they are better than the host you were looking for is just plain dishonest. How can they know they are better than another host?

Better than HTTPme , MCHost and Voxtreme. Hmmm...

ATST I agree with you there :).

If the ad makes a negative mention of your site, complain to google and they might take it down. They have a very strict policy on "negative" ads.

I think it's alright they do it--please flame :)

Seriously, I've read some about it...as long as it gets a good Click Thru ...the users are looking for what it has to offer, and thats the whole point of Google Adwords...
