I just thought i would say how pleased i am with the service im getting from pwebtech. Makes a change from people complaining about hosts :) Have a problem with someone attacking server? IP is quickly blocked on the router. Have a problem with sending e-mail? Fixed in 30 minutes. Have a problem with php? was reinstalled quickly.

Keep up the good work pegasus :D

Most people are going to assume that "Don't Go With Pegasus" means just that. I'd change the title if I were you. At first I thought that it was bad; but after reading it again, it came clear to me.

But yes, Pegasus is a top choice on my list for dedicated server providers.

I got that impression as well, until I read the whole post. Was kind of chocked cause I've heard nothing but good things about pwebtech.

I 100% agree, I have had a dedicated with pwebtech for about 3 months and they have been great.
They have been very helpfull when I had any type of questions.

It's amazing how my experience has been so completely different so far. My dedicated server was set up 21 days ago by Pegasus (I prepaid 3 months + a setup fee) and I *still* haven't got configured DNS servers and any information on DNS settings so that I can finish configuring ANY sites.

Jason is quick to reply to messages (faster than just about any other company I've been with) but so far Pegasus has come WAY short in two crucial areas: A) Actual fixes i.e. sorting out my problems (which are pretty fundamental, since without DNS I basically can't set up sites + email!) and B) supplying documentation. I guess if you have SSH installed, and you know your way around a server like the back of your hand so that you don't need the control panels etc. you might do a little better - but it's so easy to mess something up in the control panel because there's no docs!

Adding to this, the extra IP addresses that I asked for 10 days ago have still not been set up.

Considering I paid $2,400 for the setup charge plus 3 months hosting, the fact that I'm still stuck 3 weeks into my contract is just ludicrous!

I *hope* I'll be able to post a happier update to this thread soon - but otherwise I'm going to have to start shopping for ANOTHER dedicated hosting provider (my 5th :bawling: )
