Ok, I'm totally new to DNS and that kinda stuff.. I recently registered a domain with Stargate. I wanted to transfer it to my webhost.

In Stargate's CP, there are 2 tabs I'm confused about. One is Name Servers, where it gives you the ability to put in primary and secondary domain servers and their addresses. Ok, to transfer, I know I needed to put that in. The other tab is DNS Panel. That has options for:

Host Name, Record Type, and Address. What I'm not sure about is if I even need to use these at all! What are Address(A) records for? do I need to put one in? I think MX records are for mail, right? How do I use them?

Thanks guys, you're the best :)

Are you saying you want to point your domain to your hosts ip?
Or do you want to know about all tabs in Stargate's CP?

If you have a host, you shouldn't need to mess with that. Just put in the IPs and Nameservers and leave those alone.
