I'm sorry but I'm having a very hard time believing that a company such as Microsoft (any division of it) would look for an outside company to create webdesigns for them.

Possibly the others too.

I'm not a competitor or a customer so don't take it either way, but that's just how I feel.

they basically are an affiliate or pass work to them
sure they have a deal worked out ;)
they are not even in the same country as them
Australia and Canada
(not that this is bad or trying to knock at all ;)

yes Microsoft and other comapnies do hire outside people all the time
a big laugh is the MS Mouse page was created using MM dreamweaver

Compendium does some nice work though
I must say I hate things that follow your cursor though a trend that will pass very soon ;)

compendium has always been one of the big popular design houses
I do love there intro one of the best out there along with balthaser and many others ;)

microsoft out sources more then they do in house now.
