View Full Version : Revecom ?
MCHost-Marc 07-24-2001, 07:57 PM We have a customer that has signed up for a reseller plan and is looking for a good 3rd party credit card processing company. I know personally that Instabill declines about 80% of the orders ...what about Revecom? I know they both use the software - but does Revecom decline that much too?
Are there any other options similar to Revecom (without getting him a merchant account) ?
allera 07-24-2001, 08:11 PM We use Revecom and they have yet to decline one of our orders. There's been _quite_ a few transactions over the last 4 months too... I'm quite happy with their service. :)
alchiba 07-24-2001, 10:14 PM While my experience with Instabill was less than satisfactory, I didn't notice that their decline ratio was all that high. I've used Revecom since the the beginning of the year and they've been excellent. My only problems with online payments through Revecom has been in the area of processing checks. But that's largely due to the quirks in the state of the technology -- it's extremely finicky.
akashik 07-24-2001, 10:49 PM never had an order declined without good reason at revecom. Some I've looked at very strangely myself, but have been approved. It's a bit of an inhouse joke that our merchant account is going to waste sitting there unused right now as other design jobs keep popping up and preventing us from redoing out own site (including setting up the new order system).
If they weren't an easy system it might be more of a priority. The main reason we got a merchant account was to get rid if that nasty form set up we have to use (plus needed more flexibility)

alchiba 07-24-2001, 11:03 PM I really didn't mean to reply, now I'm committed to writing something or else have a weird blank post. The reason is I spilled Pepsi in my lap and the jolt fired a neuron which caused my finger to click the button. That's the fastest I've moved all day! :D
Bogdan 07-26-2001, 03:45 PM Hi..
How long did it take you guys to receive revecom account?
Thanks.
allera 07-26-2001, 03:50 PM Hardly any time at all. We faxed the information over and they emailed us shortly after with our login/password information. We then browsed their control panel, liked it, and "activated" our account. We used the account from there on out with no problems at all. It probably wasn't more than a day or two from the time we faxed the application to the time they emailed us.
Bogdan 07-26-2001, 03:53 PM Thank You! :)
Chicken 07-28-2001, 01:53 AM I was thinking about switching too and wondering if it was the same. I've had problems with instabill but not sure if the problems are justified or not. Hmmm... guess it is worth the $50 to try it out and see...
Walter 07-28-2001, 02:40 AM No problems so far, too. And registration was pretty fast.
kunal 07-28-2001, 08:46 AM ive been using them for a lil over 2mths... they have been great... there response time is good.. and a transaction has only been declined once, becuase the phone number of in-correct...
the time of authorization became a lil slow sometime last month.. but its picked up speed again.. :)
Get-Hosted.com 07-28-2001, 05:42 PM Wow... when I got a RevEcom account a while back:
I had it Fully functional in about... 20 minutes from the time I started filling out the online form.
Entered info>> got email/printed info>> went into control panel/faxed info>> entered CC to activate account>> and I was done. All in about 20 minutes. I could have activated it without faxing the info in too.
(SH)Saeed 07-28-2001, 05:44 PM What did you fax?

This is how it's supposed to work... when you fill out the form, it's supposed to mail you a password automatically. (they don't review it before you password is mailed). Then you can check out the Control Panel before actually being charged the $50. Fax your contract, activate your account and your all set.
I left Instabill because they were declining almost all of my cards, RevEcom had no problem with these cards.

We have received several orders for yearly hosting plan generated from Indonesia recently. Revecom captured and authorised the orders. When it is the time to transfer the money to our bank account, revecom suddenly email us and told us that all the orders generated from Indonesia are terminated due to fraud.
I am wondering why they don't want to decline the transaction right from the beginning but the last day before the payment is make to my account.
This make me feel like they just want to "earn" my 3.95% transaction fee.

The problem is they approved the transaction at first, but suddenly they terminate the transactions the day they suppose to T. transfer the money yo my account.
After writting a long letter to them, they finally refund me the $1 + 3.95%.
