I seem to have a nice streak of bad luck going these days with hosts and MySQL errors. Therefore, I'm looking for a possible new host. I'm not sure if I need Virtual or Dedicated really. All my past hosts have been Virtual hosts and the errors just keep on coming.

What I need:

Minimum 20gig transfer
400 meg diskspace
PHP 4
MySQL (that won't keep dying)
Additional FTP
All the usual fun stuff that all the hosts have.

So...whats available out there?

Well I think that before you make any decisions, you need to find out how many concurrent users are on your site. (How many users are on your site at the same time) Most shared hosting accounts will allow anywhere from 25-40 concurrent connections to the site, and anything more than that they will either suspend your site, or ask you to move to a dedicated server. Once you have this answer, the rest is easy, because most hosts offer similar features, for the price.
