I'm looking for a couple servers. Both with Red Hat Linux, 1 9GB SCSI drive, PIII 600 or better (single processor), 512MB of RAM, PHP/MySQL, no backups necessary. One with 200 or so GB of bandwidth, the other with 350-400GB of bandwidth. Support should be decent (reasonable amount of free support with reasonable response time). Price is a key. I'd like to have something some time this month.

They've got some packages quite similar to what you're looking for at Site5.com and I'm sure you can negotiate some extras like if you want scsi instead of eide or some extra ram. I just got my server up with them and they only have web support, so I can't really comment on the support. Another place that has similar packages is catalog.com and though they're cheap, I'd strongly suggest staying away from them unless you want your server down for 3 days straight with no explanation.

I tried doing a virtual account for one site earlier this year with Site5 and found them rather inflexible. Don't know whether they're the same way for dedicated or not.

Ventures looks like it would be quite a bit more expensive than all of the offers I've received.

I don't know if you necessarily have to pay a lot to get a lot. I've been just as happy with SkyNetWeb as with Rackspace, but the pricing is far more reasonable.

Has weinbar's support rebounded? I remember that there support was in a horrible state several weeks ago...
