You should contact your local bank and ask about merchant accounts.

techi03,

Go to www.moneris.com, they have the services you are looking for. But you do have to pay $$ monthly fees and $$$ startup fees.

They will process Visa and MC, but if you want AMEX, you will have to open an account with AMEX directly and then plug it into your moneris solution.

They even supply you with a POS machine (at an extra charge of course). But you do have to be a corporate entity to sign up with them.

techi03,

If you are looking for a real merchant account, check out www.visa-master.com. They are the best, most inexpensive solution around. Note: These guys are probably the only people on earth who accept applications from Canadians, I have looked everywhere.

In many cases they waive the AuthorizeNet Internet Payment Gateway fee of $200.00. Check them out before you make any decisions. They have a deal on right now where the Authorize.Net fee is only $99.

On their website, it says that there is a $19.95 AuthorizeNet Monthly fee.

Is this the fee you pay to authorizenet, or is it a fee of theirs that you have to pay in addition to the authorizenet gateway fee?

Thanks,
-Adrian

Hi Adrian_M, that fee is the only monthly fee that you pay.

I've looked at this site you referenced as well. (www.visa-master.com).

I can't seem to find anywhere on the site where they specify what their discount and transaction fees are. Do you see that on their site?

I'd be a little nervous about getting into something without knowing all those details first. Looks interesting but need more info.
