Hi all. I've just set up a reseller account through M6.net . I was wondering if any other resellers use more than one host. Basically a 'not putting all your eggs in one basket' type scenario.

I'd like to stick with a Windows box since that's what I know, but am wondering if I should also set up a 2nd reseller account with someone else for either Windows or maybe even Linux/Unix.

Any suggestions or experiences? TIA.
Terry

Hello
When I started I had 3 reseller accounts.
2 Linux ones using Alabanza servers and one NT.

It makes sense to have two providers but only if the control panels are the same (like with Alabanza)

Well after recent events with problems with 2 hosts one after another I've gone that route...

I chose Mchost.com and flump.net

Both are new, willing to listen and offer good support.

If anything happens to one then I can always switch to the other without searching for days or even weeks for a another reliable one...

I've even kept my eyes open for other potentials should anything go awry with either one.

The ability to sleep and not worry so much now is a major plus I can tell you. :D

Well its worth a Try.... Personally I would try a couple....

Here is my Idea

Get a reseller account with Coolreseller.com
and get one with VenturesOnline.com

There You can let your clients choose their control panel while you still offer windows webhosting as well.

Just my 2 cents :D

I have 3 reseller accounts. It's better to offer a wide choice of options and features where it's sure one of your plans may meet a prospective client's requirements. This way you increase greatly the chances of getting more clients.

Just an idea, probably offer some specials as bait to attract clients because this would definitely spread the news and recommendations by your clients.

Of course , you have to also provide the support and sometimes go that extra mile for your clients as a reseller.
