Has anyone used mchost.com? How is there service? Any compliments? Complants?

Hi,

I've moved to MChost recently and whilst it's only been 2 weeks here's the gen' so far.

1. Support is FAST!... Most replies within 15 minutes or so... but they always respond.

2. Low contention ratio... I'm not sure how many others are on the site but it doesn't look like much as yet...

3. Control Panels:
- Ok this is the only rub although not McHosts fault per se'. The domain point/park function doesn't work properly but the workaround uses the "add DNS Zone" to point to the appropriate IP for the site you're using. Marc is waiting on a fix for this one.

4. FTP... I suspect this is more my route than anything else because Blueyonder are a mare for dropping packets but I am getting dropped connections which can be frustrating.

Final point it'd be useful if McHost could get some support documentation together on the main site as well as a service status page to report and downtimes, issues, or planned outages. That said though it's more for their own benefit than for mine.

Like I said though, only 2 weeks so far which is hardly an informed opinion. Hope that helps some
