I've had a ton of people ask me in the last few days how to signup for EFreeServers reseller plan, and rather than answering all of the emails, I'll just post the link here...since I just found the signup page.

http://resellers.efreeservers.com/agreement.htm

I'm not sure why that link isn't on the main reseller page (http://resellers.efreeservers.com), but if you'll look there you'll see you can either do it on a referral basis, or be a true private-label reseller.

Read their policies closely before comitting to anything. I would recommend that to anyone for any company.

I've thought about reselling for e.freeservers too, but don't really understand fully how the system works - can anybody help?

At one point they refer to reselling their server deals, then they seem to be talking about selling bandwidth at $1/1GB - how do you resell bandwidth exactly, cos wouldn't that be bandwidth for their servers, so for those with servers elsewhere it's no use to them?

Bear with me, I'm still learning :) but the more hardware/techie aspect of hosting is still something I need to pick up a lot about

If you contact and ask them about there reseller program they are very helpfull.

On your second question,

"how do you resell bandwidth exactly?"

Selling wholesale bandwidth is to have a customer colocate in there datacenter.
Colocate means to send your own servers or your customers to the datacenter where the bandwidth is.

Hope that helped...

I also at one point contacted them about how the reselling works.

(a) free server plan is $1.50 per GB with a minimum monthly commetment (ie. minimum block purchace of bandwidth) for atleast 20 months or you have to pay full cost of the server. After 20 months the server is yours, full ownership and they said my server would be co-location status but still have to pay the $1.50 per GB

(b) Buy a server outright, they will not sell it to you, you have to buy it yourself and have it send to them and pay the $1.00 per GB price. You also need insurance, etc. to do the co-location.

Hope that answers any questions that anyone may have about the company. :smokin:
