A few months back I enquired about a dedicated server with the following specs

The budget is no more than $250 a month, and setup of no more than $175.

Spec of at least (Better if possible) a
P3 700
256mb RAM
30GB 7200 ATA100 HD
Free IP addresses* (Within ARIN's spec)
RedHat 6.2
WHM/Cpanel
DNS
SMTP/POP3
PHP4.0.6
MySQL 3.23.38
Perl
MUST BE ABLE TO RUN IRC BOUNCERS
50GB Bandwidth+
A control panel that allows multiple domains (CPanel prefered - if u can't include it, but can include if for extra please let me know the price too)

Also, please tell me about your data center and pipes into it etc

* = The IP addresses MUST be delagated to client level so that users can use vhosts.
ie when using the irc bouncer it shows their address as
WildWayz is wildwayz@is.a.l33t.mofo.com
instead of
WildWayz is wildwayz@157-238-221-172.btinternet.com

The server is NOT going to be used for any illegal activities, nor is it going to be used for IRC servers.

The main aim is webhosting for Gaming Clans and also offering them IRC Bouncers mainly so they can use them to be associated with a clan on IRC.

Also, RAM upgrades etc are a ONE OFF fee ie not a monthly extra, and a contract length of 1-3 months not a year contract.


If there can be no setup fee, then even better :)

Most people i know of are against hosting anything with IRC involved

ya - I found that too - but a couple of hosts emailed me before when I enquired about it saying they would allow it providing their network doesn't get a denial of service attack.

I emailed those companies who contacted me as well.
