Does anyone know why when I send email from "me@xyz.com" to "me@xyz.com" I get an error message?

But if I send email from "me@xyz.com" to "me@www.xyz.com" or just "me" it works fine!

I am using a Raq3 with pop before smtp and Outlook Express.

........Can I change the server default or localhost to just "xyz.com" from "www.xyz.com"?

Check you email server alias settings in the control panel. (I've only used Raq4s, so I cannot give specifics). There should be an email server alias setting for the site. Make sure you put domain.com into this box. This will allow you to send email to: user@domain.com as well as user@www.domain.com.

Make sure your DNS is setup to resolve domain.com and www.domain.com.

Here are my current DNS settings (tera-byte.com)

xxxx.com has an IP of 216.234.xxx.xxx
mail for xxxx.com is delivered to xxxx.com with a preference of 5
www has an IP of 216.234.xxx.xxx
mail for www is delivered to xxxx.com with a preference of 5
Non-matching DNS requests forwarded to 216.234.xxx.xxx

Does this look right?
