I'm looking for something that can hold large amounts, and only need the tapes changed once a month maybe 240 GB? or dual tapes? I would like to be able to use it to have several servers connected to it remotely (they are all in the same NOC) and nightly copy the contents to TAPE. thanks.

Hmmm, you could either go for those internal tape backup drive SCSI...

Or since you're talking about quite a big diskspace to backup... why not buy a tape backup changer? That's external SCSI and cost quite a lot ;)

But it sure help ease your backup system... ;)

Bear in mind, having backup drive in place is not enough, make sure you have a good plan for your backup solution (off-site backup/secure your tapes in a bank storage box...etc etc...)

I don't want anything like that, the system has to work for multiple machines, I'm not going to be around to change the tape, so I want it to store a whole month of backup.

If you want simplicity of changing the tapes... go for the autochanger... trust me on this... it's an external drive I know.. but it'll connect to a server, and you configure it from there... same as those internal... ;)
