Why don't more webhosts use LiveStats (http://www.mediahouse.com/livestats/index.html) for their server statistics? I've seen many webhosts, but I've only found 2 that feature it. I just don't understand, it's so much more powerful and informative than any of the other software. My current webhost uses it, and I love it. I'm constantly checking my stats throughout the day, and it's built-in click-thru, URL, and IP watches provide some very interesting data. Not only that, but it also shows new referring URLs that have not sent you hits before...you don't know how many bandwidth theives I've caught with this feature! Look for yourself at their working demo (http://www.mediahouse.com/livestats/demos.html?setsite=2).
Of course, maybe I'm missing the point because I'm not a host myself, but I sure would like to know why this isn't used more. :(

Here's a reason why
Minimum Requirements
• Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5) or Windows 2000
Only Windows OS :(

You're probably right. But why do they have this under "Key Features"?
"Supports Apache, Lotus, Domino, Microsoft IIS, Netscape, O'Reilly Website Pro, and Unix servers"
I believe that is because it can read the log formats of Unix servers. Therefore, it would require you to setup a win2k server just for stats, and then implement file sharing between the unix servers, and the win2k stats server.

Which is the recommended configuration even for those companies hosting Windows boxes. We host entirely on the Windows platform, and our LiveStats boxes are dedicated machines just for LiveStats. LiveStats is a fantastic software, but it does take quite a bite out of the servers' CPU, so it just makes sense to put the software on it's own server.
