Hi all... really after some feed back and advice...

In January i started to host some friends websites, it has grown to there friend and there friends etc...... etc.......

I was considering looking at the re-seller market aswell now but would like to know what everyone thinks of my Starting Up Package to see whether it would be worth going down this root or not.....

Cost : £30 GBP inc. vat and all charges
Setup Fee : £0
Traffic : 80Gb
Storage Space : 20Gb
Domains : Unlimited
Name Servers : 2 (in own domain name)
Control Panel : Cpanel

If i go ahead with the re-seller deals then there will only be 5 of the above. And it will be first come first served basis. Im really trying to put some feelers out to see what people in the market re-seller want... If you like the package or think it can be improved anyway... Send me a PM or E-Mail me...

Thanks for your time guys...

That's quite a good package. £30 equates to $49. I usually sell a 60GB space and 400GB data transfer huge reseller for $89.

Great for the UK market though.

I think your transfer is disproportionate to your storage.

That seems like a massive amount of resources for the price. What will your costs be like (ie, any room for a bit of profit?)

Jim, you referring to me or dreamserve???

In my package there is very little profit, but i am looking at setting this up as a once only deal... then setup a 2nd server for re-sellers where the package will be the same but will be more profit....

Just wanted to set something up and get the ball rolling really....

kneadingu, what ya mean??? What should the proportion be? I based it on the fact if the resellers re-sell it on at 10Gb packages then they would offer 2gb of storage with it... I dont know anyone that uses more than a couple of 100mb on their site unless they intend on distributing large files....

dreamserve, thanks man... WOWSERS thats some hell of a package...... may aswell get a server with that sort of package, but a very nice price still....

The other thing i suppose is anyone actually interested in the package? Anybody interested in purchasing one if i go ahead and set it up?

Thanks guys

If you give people large space and large bandwidth you can bet on 60% using it for storing large files over 100MB.

If you're just starting up, selling to friends etc, it probably isn't worth the hassle registering for VAT...

Anyway, those prices are pretty good. I presume the servers are in the US though?

Am in the process of registering for VAT as we speak.. have sorted forms out and passed to my accountant.. apaprently takes between 10 and 28 days but we will see... no worry tho aslong as i keep all my paperwork or summin....

1 server is in germany, and the other is in US

Manu, thats what i meant... and who would want to store a file over 100Mb on the web? unless it was for filesharing of some sort (might be completely legal but most likely not)

Don't undercut that much - provision your service on quality and not quantity.

Its not really undercutting all that much..... there is a little profit there, it will be a once only thing to launch the fact that i now offer re-seller packages....

I wont do deals like it again.... kind of like a grand opening, know what i mean???
