I'm looking for an extremely simple and easy to install program that lets users whose accounts have already been created on my server to log-in from web into their POP account and read/write email
I dont need anything fancy where you can create mailboxes on the web or stuff like that. Already tried Squirrel Mail, Imp and NeoMail but all of them are too complex. Just need something real simple and easy.
Thanks

Have you tried Popper?
I use that. It's pretty simple but your user still need to create account before accessing it.
I was looking for the same thing but haven't found it yet.

I can't imagine you could find anything easier than SquirrelMail. What did you find complex about it?

it's SO simple
but yet SO effective!

ecorrei requires php-imap extensions. Any idea where I can get them and how should I install them?
Thanks!

you can also run it on POP3...
Check the config file

I tried running it with POP3 (Also changed the port in the config file) and the login screen appeears fine, but after you login, all you get is a blank screen. The address in the browser is:
http://www.domain.com/ecorrei/inbox.php
and when I view the source, all it shows is:
<html><body></body></html>
Completely blank!

http://www.emailman.com/web/servers.html
Has a good list of web-based email scripts and what not. If your looking for different things to try, good place to start looking.

Hmm the ONLY "bug" i have with it is when sending
I hit send
it DOES send the mail
HOWEVER, after sending it loads a "can not find server" page...

One of the easiest scripts I found for web based mail is from
http://www.oakbox.com/scripts/thinmailer.shtml
Just a couple files and a few lines to change in them.
Note: I haven't done any type of testing to see what type of load it generates, so I'd be careful on using it wide spread.
